The public is invited to experience the “Bicentennial Celebration” of the unification of Hawaii by Kamehameha the Great in 1810. Royal Court ceremonies, traditional warrior exhibitions, cultural demonstrations, traditional crafts, music, games, double-hulled canoe rides, traditional food tasting and many more activities will be available for you to experience.


2010 Mango Festival

Na Wai Iwi Ola will open the festival at 10 am with a pule by Kumu Keala, after which Ka Pa Hula Na Wai Iwi Ola will share chants and dances honoring the Hula Goddess Laka. Kumu Keala will share stories of his inspirational chants and dances honoring the Goddess.
Presented by HawaiiHealthGuide.com and The Sanctuary of Mana K’ea Gardens, the Mango Festival celebrates all things mango with a day filled with special events and activities including live music, hula and cultural performances, mango culinary arts, a mango tastings, and cooking demonstrations. Mango aficionados will be able to peel, cut or bite their way into varieties of the most widely produced and consumed fruit in the world.
An outdoor expo will feature Green Healthy Living with natural products, medicinal plants, arts & crafts, massage, health & wellness practitioners, children’s activities,
healthy foods, family fun and of course, mangoes!
Ka Pa Hula Na Wai Iwi Ola will participate in this celebration beginning at 8 am with a dance and chant written especially for Pu'ukohola by Kumu Keala Ching.
